Our History

Who we are.

G.E.S., Gestión Educativa y Social (Educational and Social Management), is a Civil Society Organization, constituted on March 4, 2011. As professionals of social communication, education, health, culture, and other humanistic disciplines, with experience in the integral approach to social and educational problems, we decided to create a space of collective participation and critical thought from which to develop and implement actions aimed at strengthening the civil society and impacting public policy.

Vision

We believe in a society where universal values, sustained by the full exercise of political, civil, social, economic, cultural, and human rights, prevail and are strengthened through dialogue and solidarity.

Mission

To promote the implementation of educational and social management tools in order to guarantee the full exercise of citizenship, in the framework of spaces of participatory inclusion, open to the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and good educational, cultural, and social practices. Always based on respect for diversity, we think of our activity as an interdisciplinary team that acts as a facilitator and offers its knowledge, tools, and passion at the disposal of others.

Objectives

  • To develop and implement socio-educational actions to strengthen civil society organizations, community organizations, public and private schools, groups that are in situations of vulnerability and social exclusion, and the community in general.
  • To strengthen, promote, and develop ties of cooperation at the local, regional, national, and international levels that favor human, community, and social development and the implementation of public policy.
  • To work in the defense of all constitutionally recognized rights, especially human rights, those those relating to the defense and protection of girls, children and the youth, the elderly, women, the preservation, protection, defense and improvement of the environment, the rights of the native people, of the disabled, of the workers and those of the users and consumers.
  • To work in the fight against all types of discrimination, especially for reasons of sexual, racial, religious, socioeconomic, and/or political orientation.

What are we looking for?

We believe in a society where universal values, sustained by the full exercise of political, civil, social, economic, cultural, and human rights, prevail and are strengthened.
